How to understand the temperatures?
Although Cumulus does not test the "Comfort", "Limit" and "Extreme" temperatures, they should correspond to EN 23537:2016. According to this standard, "Comfort" is, in short, the lowest temperature at which the average young woman can sleep in a sleeping bag in a relaxed position without being woken up by the cold. The "limit" (sometimes referred to as the "comfort limit") is set adequately for young men in a crouched position. Thus, for most people, the lowest temperature for comfortable sleep should be between the "Comfort" and "Limit" values. Experienced users in good condition and with warm clothes can sleep at lower temperatures without any problems, whereas very "frozen" and older women should add a few degrees to the "Comfort" temperature. "Extreme" is the temperature given for bare survival and should not normally be taken into account. We would add that the temperature inside the tent is usually higher than outside.
How do temperatures compare between different brands of sleeping bags?
Unless temperatures are given according to EN 23537:2016, it is difficult to compare sleeping bags across brands. However, for down sleeping bags, it is generally true that two sleeping bags with the same fill weight at the same down fill (e.g. 300g of 850+ cuin down) will be approximately the same warmth. A sleeping bag with either a higher fill weight or a higher fill weight (e.g. 900 cuin) will be warmer. Differences in construction, unless it is for example the absence of a hood, usually play a minimal role. It is therefore advisable to compare the filling used in particular and not to be misled by the stated temperature alone.
Filling:
- 300 g of high quality goose down 850+ cuin (cubic inches) fill power - EU standard
- 96% down, 4% small feathers
- 55% front fill, 45% back fill
- feathers are ethically sourced from Polish geese (never plucked alive)
Polish feathers are renowned worldwide as the highest quality ever - partly due to the high differences between summer and winter temperatures, which force the geese to produce very high quality feathers. Partly the good conditions under which the geese are kept (outdoors, with access to water and air).
These feathers are 100% hypoallergenic - we can say from our own experience that even a member of our team with feather allergies has been using Cumulus sleeping bags for a long time without any problems. He hasn't even had a hint of trouble when visiting the Cumulus production facilities, including the room where the sleeping bags are filled, and the feathers fly literally everywhere.
Fabric:
- ultralight, strong and durable Pertex Quantum 29 g/m2
- very pleasant to the touch
- windproof
- DWR water repellent finish
- resistant to feather penetration
Other parameters:
- separate drawstrings - flat draws the hood, round draws the sleeping bag at the neck
- trapezoidal footbox - designed for the shape of the feet
- single top collar
- two-way YKK zippers along almost the entire length of the sleeping bag
- zippers compatible between Lite Line and Panyam models - 2 sleeping bags can be combined (If you want to use this option, please write it in the note before ordering. It is necessary to ensure that one sleeping bag has a zipper on the left and the other on the right.)
- small inner zipped pocket with luminescent slider
- loops for hanging
- trapezoidal chamber system
- comes with a large storage sack and a compression sack
For even better compression and water protection, we recommend the Evac Compression Dry Bag or a combination of a sleeping bag compression pack and a waterproof bag.
Cumulus sleeping bags are hand sewn. One seamstress always sews the entire sleeping bag from start to finish. The filling of the individual chambers is also done by hand for precision.
Lifetime warranty.

děkujeme za recenzi. Jsme rádi, že jste se spacákem spokojený. Do teplot pod nulou spacák skutečně není stavěný.
